Yes! We love to check kids for spinal misalignment.  Our spines grow the most when we are children and this growth can set the tone for either lifelong success or lifelong issues.

The first misalignment can occur at birth.  The average OB-GYN weighs 180lbs and pulls with 80lbs of force on the average 8lb baby.  What’s the first part to descend through the birth canal? The head! Very simply, the birthing process is very traumatic to the baby and the first stop after birth should be the chiropractor.

Many chiropractic babies have resolution of colic, sleep interruptions, digestive issues and much more. When other more serious issues have been ruled out, we know that the spine containing the highway of nerves can contribute to many disturbances in normal function.

As kids grow, they fall off bikes, stumble, tumble and get into all sorts of predicaments.  Not all falls will cause a spinal misalignment, but some will.  That’s why regular check ups to the office will help to prevent more serious issues later.

Parents and pediatricians around the country also report that chiro kids have less ear infections and get less sick in general.  This is great for parents who struggle with cold and flu season.  It’s common that parents come in and say they didn’t take nearly as many trips or any at all to the doctor that year. They are absolutely amazed at the difference that the “simple” chiropractic adjustment can make in their family.

Another common condition and probably the most important is bed wetting. Bed wetting can be caused by a disconnect from the brain to the body. Not only is this condition uncomfortable it can prevent children from growing socially because they cannot participate in school overnight trips, sleepover and camp.
